    nches. This photograph is of Aleksei Yakovlevich Sergachyov. During WWII he was a medic. On screenshot 2 you can see his glorious battle path. He was a defender of the Caucasus and also among the capturers of Koenigsberg, he received the order of the Red Star for his work as a medic in the 406th Separate Communications Battalion, he often risked his life under intensive enemy fire to help the wounded and was helping raise awareness about sanitary conditions and helped prevent infections, in the December 1943-January 1944 comrade Sergachov prevented an outbreak of typhoid in the unit. He received the second order of the Red Star for his work in East Prussia, he helped analyze war trophy food and water and as a result not a single case of poisoning happened. During the days of heavy battles comrade Sergachov took watch at the observation point and in the case of a wound he tended to the wounded and guided them to the hospital.
