DESCRIPTION
This is a very nice USN VF-154 BLACK KNIGHTS F-14 TOMCAT US NAVY EMBROIDERED PATCH, IN MINT/NEW CONDITION. Age unknown, origin unknown.
As one of two remaining F-14A squadrons, the Black Knights remain the Navy’s only forward deployed Tomcat squadron. Their triumphant spirit is evident in observing their performance in the air or in action on the carrier flight deck. "Black Knights Rule"(BKR) affirms their pride in being part of a winning team at the tip of the nation’s defense; dedicated and prepared to perform their mission in peacetime or in combat on a moments notice, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. VF-154 flies the Grumman F-14A Tomcat strike/fighter and embarks on the USS KITTY HAWK (CV63) as part of Carrier Air Wing FIVE, deploying throughout the Pacific Rim, the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Gulf.
UPDATE: The Sqn...transitioned to the F/A-18F Superhornet and...now in Carrier Airwing 9 onboard USS John C Stennis...the official Squadron designation is now VFA-154....(from fellow eBayer josh7652.
