If you try to install it yourself, you own it, if you are not a LICENSED AND QUALIFIED SERVICE COMPANY OR TECHNICIAN! Any replacements, that are requested, due to a FACTORY DEFECT, NOT INSTALLATION, will require you sending pics of the Filter/Drier, and the problem, clearly shown in the pics, as well as a copy of your State Licensing, that shows you are Legally Qualified to do service and installation, on sealed systems! No Exceptions will be made! Read BEFORE you BUY!
Once this part is installed, there are No Refunds at all. If there is an issue, please contact me, and the we can determine if a replacement is needed, but after installation, there are absolutely No Refunds! The part is used after installation, and no longer usable, or resale-able.
Differences from OEM:
The mounting holes have been moved intentionally, because the existing holes become larger, due to the very soft metal back panel, and the evaporator does not re-install tightly, as it was from the Factory. All Experienced, Qualified Techs know to tap new holes, with the screw, as the metal is so soft, that there is NO PILOT HOLES REQUIRED, to get the screws to screw into the new metal area of the back wall, making the evaporator tightly mounted to the back wall, unlike if you used the same holes! Common sense.
As well, the reason that the evaporator is not as "heavy" as the original, is because the original is not made out of the proper, 99% REFRIGERATION ALUMINUM ONLY, unlike a lot of the OEM Evaporators that are mixed with copper, that give it more weight, and also cause early corrosion, that leads to premature leaking, due to pinhole leaks.
Then there is the subject of "swaging"? An Experienced Technician knows from doing service, that NO EVAPORATOR, COMPRESSOR, or anything is ever swaged by the manufacturer, which is why ALL QUALIFIED, LICENSED AND EXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS, have a swaging tool set in their tool boxes! All evaporators and compressors have to be manipulated, with a swaging tool or less, to get the matching tubing to fit, so it is tight before accepting solder! Again, Common sense and Experience, as well as being Qualified and Licensed, and there are no issues. Crimping the capillary inlet on the side, to close up any excess opening, or not, may also be necessary with all capillary inlets.
Experience is the key to Proper installation of ANY sealed system component, and is no different with these evaporators.
Slight changes for legal purposes were made, but they install perfectly, and are designed and manufactured to last longer than the oems!
A couple negative reviews on here, are due to the buyer not being a licensed refrigeration technician, that was qualified to install the evaporator, using the wrong torch and ruining the evaporator, then trying to blame the evaporator and getting their money back! Do Not Buy this evaporator if you do Not have a licensed tech to install it, or you are licensed and qualified to do so! THERE ARE NO REFUNDS! THEY ARE ALL TESTED 3 TIMES FOR LEAKS AND PRESSURE TESTED, SO THEY ARE SHIPPED WITH ZERO LEAKS IN THEM AND THAT IS VERIFIED 3 TIMES BEFORE THEY ARE SHIPPED TO YOU! ANY LEAKS YOU END UP WITH AFTER INSTALLATION, YOU CAUSED AT THAT POINT!
