Mercury 40-60 hp lower unit gear case assembly 2.31:1 9011G45

Description

For sale is a 2.31:1 lower unit for 2-stroke Mercury 40-60 hp outboards,
applications below.
This lower unit is in good working condition, it was removed from a motor that was only used in freshwater. It turns over smoothly and shifts correctly. The gear lube was clean when we checked it- no water and no metal. The water pump impeller is in good condition but it does have a little memory. This lower unit is for a 20" transom motor(long-shaft), the driveshaft measures ~19 7/8" from the top of the water pump housing to the top of the driveshaft. The driveshaft has 11 splines, and the prop shaft has 15 splines. The back of the skeg was chipped, so it was ground down flat. Overall, this is a nice replacement lower unit. See pics.
