Parts for these lower units continue to get more and more expensive with yet another massive price increase from Mercury. Because of this I have been forced to adjust my price to cover the expense.
1 year warranty. I am the expert with these lower units. I've seen a lot so I know a lot. I can properly fix what others turn in to scrap parts. I am so good that I will stand behind my lower units for a full year. They are that good. Who else will do that? Mercury will not do that on a brand new one.
1999 to 2005 Mercury 25 HP 4 stroke 2.42:1 gear ratio long shaft lower unit.
This lower unit has the shift rod that moves up/down to change the gears.
This lower unit is a super clean, fresh water part. The lower unit will be a completely rebuilt using new bearings and seals. Still ready to bolt on and use, no excuses just good work and parts.
Or, I can rebuild your lower unit and make it work like new.
Either way the lower will be ready to bolt on your motor and use and with proper care will give you years of fun (with proper maintenance) for a fraction of cost of a new one.
There is only one way to tell if one of these lower units is really good, and that is to take it apart and look. Look at my feedback and the items I sell and notice I have sold dozens of Mercury lower units this year on eBay. Now that is assurance you just don't see everyday in the used world.
