Gold Fill Swirl Art Nouveau Deco French Retract Chatelaine Pencil Paste Sapphire

I am selling a collection of antique chatelaine and jewelry items so please check out my other listings, some examples seen in the last photo.
ABOUT:
Beautifully designed gold filled chatelaine pencil with retractable button and sapphire blue paste rhinestone - I acquired this in France, it is an antique piece from the Art Nouveau to Art Deco period.  Pencil is missing so you'd have to try and find a replacement at a craft store.
The loop is signed Murat, for the maker, whose firm began operating in Paris in the mid to late 1800s.  Swirled design around the body of the pencil.
The French were known for their gold fill fabrication in the late 1800s to early 1900s, they would use an unusually thick layer of gold foil over brass to form the jewelry to withstand long term wear.  It can sometimes be mistaken for and acid tests as real gold. Their superior quality laminated gold filled jewelry and their fabrication methods have remained a secret even to today.

Chain in photos is not included, it is just a modern costume chain from Target that I use for staging : ).

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition.  Missing the pencil insert.  The pencil case has some surface wear and scratching from use and polish and the back has some scuffs that have resulted in a little loss to the gold fill near the opening.  A few nicks.  Still vibrant in color.  Overall it has held its shape well. Retractible button works well, it just needs the pencil.
But Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
