How lovely this teapot would look on your high tea table! It is a very unique teapot and rarely seen.
This special porcelain teapot was made by Caledonia Pottery in Staffordshire, England. It is a formal teapot with a casual twist.
The teapot features a transferware pattern of many of the flowers of England and next to some of them is their Latin names, such as Camomilla reculita! It is an all over botanic design with the flowers and their stems and leaves, from the body of the teapot to the spout to the lid. The teapot was then trimmed in green on the handle, spout, the finial on the lid and around the top.
The underside of the base is marked with the Caledonia Pottery Crown, "Caledonia Pottery", "Staffordshire", "Made in England".
This is a full sized six cup teapot. It measures 6" at the widest point of the body, 9" from spout to handle and stands 8" tall.
It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips.
This is a hard to find teapot.
